Student Admissions

Discover A World of Educational Opportunities

At New Oasis, as an applicant to our High School Network Program, you are more than a GPA or test score.

We understand and appreciate the fact that all of our students have individual unique qualities that they bring to our High School Network Program. Just as in life, there are various ways to interpret a poem, solve a math equation, or hit a tennis ball, New Oasis recognizes that no single approach ensures a successful international student application.

A Personal Connection

As a New Oasis student, you’ll follow your passions and discover new ones along your journey as a student in one of our partner high schools. You’ll be challenged in new and different ways, and most importantly, you’ll be part of an incredibly close-knit New Oasis community. You’ll get to know us and we’ll get to know you.

Holistic Admissions Process

There is no formula for gaining admission to New Oasis. The New Oasis admissions committee considers a candidate’s entire application – academic and extracurricular records, SLEP or TOEFL scores. Admission is based on achievement and promise.

Frequently Asked Questions:

When do I register for classes?

Students register for their classes through school’s guidance counselor during their school’s orientation week.  In some cases, your school may reach out to you during the summer to begin the registration process.

Is there anything I need to prepare before arriving?

Make sure you have all of your required documents completed and returned to New Oasis.  If the school requires any summer reading, make sure you complete the reading requirements.

What kind of students do your partner schools look for as a potential applicant?

Our partner schools look for students who will succeed academically and socially. Being a part of the school community is incredibly important to our partner schools.

I am concerned about English language skills. Do you have any recommendations?

Expose yourself to English language as much as possible.  Reading books and watching English language TV shows and movies are a few great ways that will help you in the immersion process.  Also, don’t forget to bring a translator or dictionary with you.

What if I have a question after my interview?

Feel free to reach out to New Oasis. We will be happy to assist and address any concerns you may have.

Which standardized tests do you suggest an applicant take prior to studying in the United States?

We recommend the SSAT, TOEFL JR or the TOEFL.
